2006 Beneteau Swift Trawler 42

Irvington, Virginia, United States

US$275,000

Joyride is in phenomenal shape. Her current owners have owned her, used her and meticulously maintained her over the past 4 years and they are reluctantly moving on to new adventures.

The Swift Trawler 42 is iconic Beneteau with fabulous lines; she looks terrific on the water, solid yet sleek. Performance is way ahead of similar sized trawlers in terms of speed and fuel efficiency. Her dual Cummins 380 HP engines allow you to move along at trawler speed (5-7 knots) or get you up on the plane, thanks to the planing under body, to outrun weather or meet a deadline at a maximum speed of 24 knots.

The interior layout with the cherry interior finish and wooden floors. is well suited to a couple, with a spacious living area and phenomenal light and visibility through all-round windows and doors.  It has plenty of storage in the salon as well as a sleeper couch and table that can be moved out into the cockpit. An 'up' galley, 2-person seat at the lower helm, master cabin with queen sized bed, guest cabin and 2 heads..

The exterior is superb, with access through a transom door from the swim platform into the cockpit. Access to the foredeck is via wide 'passageways' on either side of the boat which have high bulwark  from the rear of the boat to about midships and then strong, stainless steel railings up forward.

The flybridge is accessed by a steel and wooden staircase from the rear deck via a hatchway. There is room for a dinghy, a lifting boom is positioned midships, with the upper helm station and seating for the crew up forward. A full enclosure round the upper helm & seating area keeps the crew protected from the elements.

Under present ownership, Joyride has been hauled annually, engine & generator serviced and filters changed.
